Obituary

Joseph Walter Pasinski passed away on Friday October 13, 2017 at his home.

Born on December 10, 1917 he was the son of the late John and Josephine Pasinski. He lived and worked in Meriden almost all of his life, the last three years he lived at Elim Park in Cheshire. Joseph was employed at New Departure from where he retired after 35 years of service. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1942 until 1945 and served in combat action at Leyte Gulf. Joe never married, he spent most of his life caring for his mother and sister Emily.

Uncle Joe as he was known, had a deep Catholic Faith. He loved the Lord and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. His family chain is complete. Francis Pasinski and Dolores want to thank all the wonderful help given to Joe from his hospice nurse Jane and his wonderful angels: Mary, Melissa, Dora, Halina, Donna and Dawn who watched over and cared for him and gave him round the clock care. He was like a Grandpa to them.

Mr. Pasinski is survived by his loving nephew Francis S. Pasinski; his great nephews and nieces:  Francis and Karin Pasinski, Michael and Cindy Pasinski, Mario Solla and Deb Britney; great great nieces and nephews: Emily, Alec, Lauren and Jillian Pasinski, Megan and Stephanie Pasinski and Jacob, Andy and Margaret Solla. He was predeceased by his great nephew William Pasinski. Throughout his life he was a devoted Uncle to all, physically, mentally and financially.

His funeral will be held on Thursday October 19th at 9:15 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
