Obituary

Joseph H. Carabetta, Sr., died on Tuesday May 17, 2016 at MidState Medical Center. He was the husband of Denise (Delucantonio) Carabetta her beloved husband of 30 years.

Born on January 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Sal and Constance (Farieri) Carabetta. Joseph was a lifelong resident of Meriden and graduate of Wilcox Tech. He and his partner Tom "Huck" Martin managed several café's in Meriden, including Joe's Place and Carmodys. Joseph was an outgoing, fun gentleman who also worked in the Circus for 12 years. He was a long standing member of the Moose Club. Joseph loved kids and was a devoted supporter of many children's charities.

Mr. Carabetta is survived by his son Joey H. Carabetta, Jr. and his partner Amy Carabetta of NC; a daughter Kim Carabetta of NC; his beautiful grandchildren: Jocelyn Carabetta, Julianna Carabetta, Ian Glenn and Lyra Glenn; two sisters-in-law Cynthia Tarver, Ann Carabetta and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers: Robert and Dennis Carabetta.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday morning May 21st from
