Jose Oquendo, 91, of Meriden, loving husband of Juana Ramos, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and in the comfort of his home, Friday, June 27, 2025.

Jose was born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, December 16, 1933, a son of the late Jose Hernandez and Norberta Oquendo and had been a Meriden resident for many years.  He was employed in manufacturing until his retirement.

Jose's family will receive relatives and friends in the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.  A prayer service will begin in the funeral home at 10 a.m.  Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.
