John F. Lorette, Sr., 84, passed away on Monday May 23, 2016 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Alice "Joanne" (Taylor) Lorette.

Born on March 16, 1932 in Bennington, VT he was the son of the late Frank and Nora (Carpenter) Lorette. John proudly served in the United States Air force during the Korean War. He then went on to serve for an additional 20 years until his retirement. John was a home handyman extraordinaire. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren whom he cherished.

Mr. Lorette is survived by his sons: John F. Lorette, Jr. and his wife Lorrie, Robert G. Lorette, Sr.; two daughters: Debbie L. Fiore and her husband Fran, Cindy Ariale and her husband Jim all of Meriden; a brother Kenneth L. Lorette and his wife Edna of East Greenbush, NY; 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 8 siblings.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday May 26, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.
