John A. (Jack) Hulford, Jr. passed away on Monday July 13, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of Mary (Ostasiewski) Hulford, his loving wife of 31 years. Born on July 15, 1935 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late John A. Hulford, Sr. and Margaret (Mikula) Hulford. He proudly served in the United States Marines during the Korean War; it was a great honor for him. Jack worked as a truck driver for Yellow Freight from where he retired. He loved woodworking, being outdoors gardening and was a devoted Red Sox and Patriots fan. Jack was a talented artist, an avid fisherman and Harley Davidson enthusiast. Jack is survived by his daughters: Debbie Kensek and her husband Joe of SC, Sharelle Edwards and her husband Walter of West Haven, Jacquelyn Lizak and her husband David of Oxford, Melissa Hartenstein of Meriden; a sister Norma Robinson and her husband Larry of Monroe; many beautifully spirited grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He truly cherished all of them. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday July 24th from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. and attend his funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.
