John Guzowski, 102, beloved husband of the late Genevieve (Dombkowski) Guzowski died on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at the Alzheimer Resource Center of CT in Plantsville.
Born on Nov. 18, 1913, in Meriden, he was the son of the late Jacob and Agatha (Marosz) Guzowski. John graduated from local schools and was a self-employed machinist. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and golfing. John and his wife especially loved to Polka Dance, throughout the Meriden and Southington area.
Mr. Guzowski is survived by his sons, Matthew Guzowski and his wife, Barbara, Lawrence Guzowski and his wife, Patricia; a granddaughter, Tamara Eve Guzowski; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, John Guzowski; and five brothers and sisters.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 until 10 a.m. and attend his Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.
