Joanne (Besek) Majkrzak, 76, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Cromwell, after a brief illness.

Joanne is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Margaret (Prigitano) Besek of Meriden; and her brother Stephen Besek of Moodus.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Listro of Middletown; as well as a sister and brother-in-law Linda (Besek) DelVecchio and Wayne DelVecchio of Burlington.

Her family would like to give a special thank you to the Doctor's, Nurse's, Aides, and staff, along with Optum Healthcare team for their compassionate care and support given to Joanne throughout her residency at Autumn Lake.

Services are private at the family's request.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St.
