Joan M. Martowski, 89, beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Martowski, passed away on Thursday June 24, 2021 at the Meriden Center.

Born on February 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta (Benoit) Germain. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Joan was a graduate of Meriden High School and parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. She got married to her husband Thomas, on August 29, 1953 in St. Mary Church, Meriden. Joan was employed as a bookkeeper at Barker's Supermarket and then for the Travelers from where she retired. She enjoyed reading, traveling, trips to the beach and most of all spending time with her family.

Mrs. Martowski is survived by her daughters: Beth Johnson and her husband Bob of Rockfall, Sherry Petrosky and her husband Keith of Meriden; her brother Lawrence Germain and his wife Sheila; two sisters: Evelyn Herren, Elaine Pfeiffer; five grandchildren: Steve Miller, Jr., Rebecca Johnson, Kristen Petrosky, Brian Petrosky and his wife Joni and Jonathan Petrosky; five great grandchildren: Isaiah Petrosky, Ciara Petrosky, Shanice Parrish, Jonathan Petrosky and Zayden Petrosky; her best friend, Marilyn Hoff and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at St. John Lutheran Church on Thursday, July 8 ^th at 4:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.
