Jennie (Zalenski) Dara, 87, beloved wife of the late Raymond Dara died on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Miller Memorial. She was born on June 24, 1928 in Meriden to the late Joseph and Theodora Zalenski. Jennie was a graduate of St. Stanislaus School and a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church for many years. She enjoyed her career as a secretary, and her interests, including playing bingo, going to tag sales, and collecting antique glass. Jennie is survived by nieces Kathryn Seymour-Burgoyne, Jeannie Zalenski-Boucher, Shirley Smith, and Doreene Zalenski, and nephews Richard and Thomas Zalenski, and Mark Seymour. She was predeceased by her sisters Stephanie, Stacia, and Helen Seymour of Virginia, and brothers Stanley, Chester, and Walter Zalenski of Florida. Her graveside service in Sacred Heart Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.
