Nesci
Jun 5, 1924 — Jan 4, 2021
Meriden
Jeanette Nesci, born Jeanette Lena Sirena, on June 5, 1924 to Leonard and Angeline Sirena in Meriden, Connecticut. She was their first child, sister to the late Anthony Sirena. Jeanette Nesci, 96, died on Monday, January 4, 2021 with her family by her side in Farmington, Connecticut. Jeanette attended Meriden High School and Laurel Business College. She was the wife of the late Tardivo (Tardy) Nesci, mother of Nancy Nesci Dean and grandmother of William Hunter Dean. She loved her only grandchild, Hunter, with her whole heart. She is predeceased by her sister-in-law Marie Sirena. Baking and crocheting made her happy. As any true Italian matriarch, she will always be remembered for anticipating and taking pride in cooking a big Sunday dinner and having her family around the table. She worked in her Mom and Dad's Italian grocery store for years. Later in life she became the Minibus Dispatcher for the Meriden Senior Center. She was well loved and cared for by many doctors and CNAs. The following people have shown mom respect, dignity and excellent care throughout the years and are deeply appreciated. They are: Drs. Peter Schulman, Anne Kenny, Gail Sullivan, Imrad Ali and CNA caregivers Corrie Grant, Audrey Wray, Priscila Aboagye, Lisa Nuzzo, Gail Walsh, Elizabeth Cento, Martha Miller, the late Carol Attardo, Helen Kato, Eleanor & Hanna. The hospice team at Masonicare (Tara, Denise, Rachel, Sandra, Brittany, Megan, Katie, Kristina, Jennifer, Ann, Michele, Dawn, Shelley, Scott and Holly) were incredibly helpful and supportive. Their wonderful care, patience, kindness, and love that they have shown to Jeanette and her daughter, Nancy will forever be remembered. Funeral services at Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home in Meriden, CT will be private due to COVID. Entombment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please send your donations to: Masonicare Home Health Hospice, 77 Hartland Street, Suite 400, East Hartford, CT 06108
