Janice B. Swiatek of Southington, CT passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024 at the age of 77. Born on November 30, 1946, Janice was a private person who valued her independence and the quiet of her own company.
Janice grew up in Meriden, CT, and was a graduate of Francis T. Maloney High School in 1964. As an adolescent, she belonged to the Falcon Fife and Drum Corps. Janice had a diverse professional background, including working as a dental assistant, customer service representative, and accounts receivable specialist. She had a deep love for dancing, but nothing brought her more joy than raising her three children.
Janice lived a life of quiet peacefulness, following her own path with a strong sense of self and a commitment to her privacy. While she kept to herself, her life was a unique journey, shaped by a perspective and individuality that were deeply her own. Her life offers a quiet reminder of the dignity in walking one's own path and living a life that feels true. As she moves on to her next journey, may Janice find the peace and solitude she so valued. She leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength and independence that will be remembered.
Janice was predeceased by her parents Wanda C (Bossick) and Michael Bozuchowski, along with twin brothers Peter and Paul.
Janice is survived by her three children: daughter Sarah Swiatek and husband David Carvalho of Rotonda West, FL; son Garrett Swiatek and wife Cecille of Abu Dhabi, UAE; and daughter Kathryn Gyves and husband Mark of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by her sister Laureen B. Flynn and husband Donald of Stonington, CT, as well as her godson/nephew Zachary Flynn of Queens, NY.
Funeral services will be private. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers as they mourn their loss.
