Janet Perez DeJesus, 56, of Plantsville, CT, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to many, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of January 26, 2021 at Regency House.

She was predeceased by her mother Evangelista Valentin-Ramirez, her father Leon Perez, Step Father Severino Lopez, and many beloved aunts and uncles. She leaves behind her husband Freddy DeJesus, her sons Luis Galarza 3rd (Kelly Sullivan), Freddy DeJesus Jr and her grandsons Isaac Galarza and Tajon Smalls. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters: Adam Rivera, Maria Perez, Luz Boehler, Elsa Rodriguez, Isabel Rodriguez, Benny Perez, and Carlos Rodriguez, in addition to many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins in CT, PA, NY, FL, ME, and PR. Janet was the Heart of her family. Her smile was as infectious as her love. Janet always had a hug, kiss, plate of food and shelter for anyone who needed it. She will greatly be missed by many.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday February 4 ^th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden. A funeral service will be held on Friday February 5 ^th at 11:00 a.m. in the Stempien Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
