Meriden
James R. Rowley, 86, of Meriden, loving husband of Rita (Mik) Rowley, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Monday, August 19, 2024 at MidState Medical Center.
James was born in Meriden, January 30, 1938, a son of the late Albert R. Rowley and Elsie (Mahoney) Rowley and had been a lifelong Meriden resident. He was employed as a Tool and Die Maker at AGC in South Meriden until his retirement and was a parishioner of St. Faustina Parish (St. Stanislaus Church).
In addition to his wife Rita, he is survived by his 3 children James A. (Karen E.) Rowley of Pomfret, Ann (Kenneth) Lonczak and John (Jody) Rowley all of Meriden; 7 grandsons Gregory (Allison) Lonczak, Timothy (Tina) Lonczak and Stephen Lonczak, Matthew (Mallory) Rowley, Spencer Rowley and his fiancé Jessica, Parker Rowley and his fiancé Amanda, and James E. Rowley; 2 great grandchildren Hannah and Clio Lonczak; his sister-in-law Carol Rowley; several nieces; and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ross Rowley.

Jim's family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 29, at 11 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church. Please meet directly at church. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of James R. Rowley may be made to Connecticut Children's Foundation, Inc., P.O.
