Jackson Rayvon Lytle, 83, died on Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Masonicare in Wallingford. He was the husband of Bobbie Fae (Scott) Lytle, his loving wife of 66 wonderful years. Born November 29, 1931 on a farm near Caddo Mills TX, he was the son of the late Thurman Hanley (Doc) and Ila Dorina (Chapman) Lytle. Jackson graduated from Caddo Mills Texas High School in 1949. He proudly served as a S/SGT in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Jackson worked as a welder from 1951 until 1965 at many locations, across many states, coast to coast. In 1965 he relocated his family to Meriden, CT. He worked at the Algonquin Gas Transmission Company in Meriden as a welding inspector from 1965 until 1967 and then was promoted in 1968 to District Superintendent until his retirement in 1990. Jackson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Meriden; he served two terms on the Board of Trustees. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Meriden for 35 years and served two terms on the Board of Directors and he was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge from 1959 until 2015. Mr. Lytle is survived by his sons Gerald Wayne Lytle and William Bruce Lytle and his wife Modesta all of Meriden; two grandchildren: Megan Lytle of OK, Ryan Lytle of MD; two sisters: Alma Jane Morse, Betty Sue Terry both of TX; a brother Harold Rex Lytle of TX; two step grandchildren: Yahjaira Feliciano of Meriden, Rafael Daniel Robles of WI and five step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers: Bradford and Joe Lytle and one sister Mozell Hughes. His funeral service will be held on Monday June 1st at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church.
