Irene S. Curtis died peacefully on April 13, 2022. She was the wife of the late Russell G. Curtis.

Irene was born in Meriden, CT, to Stanislaus and Eleanora Stabach on November 18, 1928. She was employee of the Meriden-Wallingford Hospital Social Service Department for many years. Irene was a member of St. Margaret Church, The Scranton Friends of the Library, the Madison Historical Society, the Madison Country Club, the Madison Winter Club and a longtime member of the Curtis Family Society.

Mrs. Curtis is survived by her son, Scott R. Curtis; daughter-in-law, Cynthia L. Curtis; grandson, Spencer A.G. Curtis and his wife Taylor; her great-granddaughter, Cameron Curtis: two sisters-in-law: Lois Stabach, Mary Stabach and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Russell G. Curtis III; two sisters: Genevieve, Leocadia and six brothers: Francis, Joseph, Louis, Eugene, Bronislaus and Edward.

A private burial and a celebration of Irene's life will be held at a later date.
