Helen (Maciejko) Gansecki, 95, beloved wife of the late Stanley "Steak" Gansecki, passed away peacefully on Monday July 17, 2017 at Avery Heights Healthcare.

A lifelong resident of Meriden, Helen served in the United States Army during WWII. Her family has always been very proud of her service to our country. She was a longtime member of the St. Stanislaus Ladies Guild and the Silver City Golf League.

Mrs. Gansecki is survived by her daughters: Margaret Gansecki Braddon and her husband Michael, Lorraine (Lori) Avocato; three grandsons: Mario Avocato, US Army Sargent Gregory Avocato, Matthew Braddon; a sister Florence Sieracki and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday July 22nd at St. Stanislaus Church. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
