Helen Butler, 84, of Meriden formerly of Hamden died peacefully early Tuesday morning January 10, 2012 at MidState Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Thomas Robert Butler. She was born April 11, 1927 in New Haven the daughter of the late Stanley and Sophie Ciak. Helen was employed by the former American National Bank as a customer representative for many years until her retirement. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put their needs in front of her own and will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by loving daughters: Laura (Fred) Pellegrini; Nancy (John) Marotta; Marcia (Robert) Futterleib; Susan (Ron) Brasile and Maria Vegliante. Loving sons Thomas (TR) (Catherine) Butler and Carl (Barbara) Butler. She cherished her 12 grandchildren: Jesse Walden, James Butler , Anthony Pellegrini, Jackie Butler, Melissa Rhone, Jessica Butler, Jennifer Brasile, Joshua Marotta, Brittany Vegliante, AJ Butler, Cameron Butler and Kaitlyn Butler; 4 great grandchildren: Andrea, Jake, Marc and James Jr.; a brother Stanley Ciak and 2 sister's Beatrice Hahn; Frances Fletcher and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Theodore Ciak and two sisters Jane Lorence and Sophie Wunderlee. Helen's family would like to thank the staff at MidState Medical Pavilion B and Village Green of Wallingford for the wonderful and compassionate care they gave her.
