George W. Anderson, 82, of Meriden, loving husband of Margaret (Goodrich) Anderson, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 2, 2024 at Hartford Hospital.

George was born in Bristol, November 26, 1941, a son of the late Leon C. Anderson and Ruth M. (Lowen) Anderson and had been a Meriden resident for many years.  George was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was employed and well known as an RV mechanic for A-1 Trailer Sailes, Staples RV Center and Robert's Chrysler Dodge.

In addition to his wife Margaret, he is survived by his daughter Laura L. Anderson and her husband David Peterson; his 3 grandchildren Paige Griffith and her husband Justin, Andrew Osora, Matthew Osora; 3 great grandchildren Cameron Griffith, Bryce Griffith and Lili Osora; his sister-in-law Christine Carpenter, his niece; and nephews Matthew Carpenter, Kyleen Carpenter and her husband Billy Devine and Jared Carpenter.  He was predeceased by his son Eric R. Anderson.

George's family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m.  A prayer service will begin at 5 p.m.  Interment will be private in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.  In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of George may be sent to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave., Meriden, CT. 06450.
