Gary C. Woedtke, 79, of Meriden, loving husband of the late Sheila (Cooper) Woedtke, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Haven.

Gary was born in New Haven, June 7, 1947, a son of the late Julius Woedtke and Ann (Shukert) Woedtke and had been a resident of Wallingford and Meriden for many years. Gary was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and had been employed by Executive Honda until his retirement.

Gary is survived by his two daughters Jennifer M. Woedtke, and Laura J. Reyes and her husband Jose all of Meriden; and his son Shawn Woedtke; his grandchildren Krystal Buskey and William Ferro. He was predeceased by his son Thomas Woedtke.

A graveside committal service with military honors will be held Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 11 a.m. in Center Street Cemetery in Wallingford. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., www.meridenmemorialfh.com
