Meriden
Francis Michael Rybak, 77, of Meriden, peacefully entered eternal life in the comfort of his home, Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
Mike was born in Waterbury, March 16, 1948, the son of the late Frank Rybak and Adeline (Bober) Rybak and had been a lifelong resident of Meriden. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Mike was employed by the City of Meriden Parks Department for 38 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Pinta Council 2 and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church in Meriden.
Mike had a deep love for Hubbard Park, even when he was working there for Parks and Rec. He also enjoyed walking his dogs at the park and chatting with friends he would meet along the way.
Mike was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Rybak, whom he described as "A beautiful person." He is survived by several cousins. During Mike's final illness he received loving care by his "team" of cousins, Susan and Mark Kosnoff, Roberta Mickiewicz, Joyce and Dan Kogut and his dearest friend and neighbor, Carlos Cordero. The family wishes to thank Mike's caregivers from The Franciscan Hospice, especially Tassana Felix.
