Florence (Kemish) Skotnicki, 96, of Meriden, beloved wife of the late Henry Skotnicki, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, Sunday, April 7, 2024, with her family by her side.

Florence was born in Meriden, CT. on November 29, 1927.  She was the daughter of the late Anton Kemish and Emilia (Kompal) Kemish and had been a lifelong Meriden resident and parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, and a dedicated and caring mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter Virginia Killinger and her husband Stan, son John Skotnicki, daughter Ellen Simon and her husband Bill, son Ronald Skotnicki, daughter Susan McKone and her husband Mike, and son Robert Skotnicki and his wife Lauren.  Florence also leaves her grandchildren Nick McKone and his wife Mary, Rob McKone and Anna Skotnicki, many nieces, and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers Tony, and Joseph, and sisters Anne and Eleanor.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stanislaus (St. Faustina) Church, 117 Olive St., Meriden.  Interment will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery immediately following the Mass.  In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Florence may be made to St. Faustina Parish, 82 Akron Street, Meriden, CT. 06450.
