Florence B. Kuralowicz, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 19, 2015 at Masonicare in Wallingford. Born on October 22, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Dominik and Genevieve (Spirida) Kuralowicz. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Florence attended local schools and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church and a member of its Sunshine Club. Florence especially loved the Connecticut shoreline, fine dining, and traveling throughout New England. She cherished her annual trips to Brimfield and many other antique fairs with her sister Terry, and friends, and also enjoyed regular trips into New York City with her girlfriends to shop and see the latest plays on Broadway. The lights of her life were her niece, Laurisa, and nephew, Jason (the children of her sister, Theresa). She took great joy in their accomplishments and in her close relationship with them both. More than a doting aunt, she was a second mother to them, and later welcomed Laurisa's sons, Devin and Collin Brooks, into her heart as well. Florence is survived by her sister Theresa G. Lapuc of Meriden; her nephew Jason M. Lapuc and his wife Fran of Meriden; her niece Laurisa Brooks of NC and two great nephews Devin and Collin Brooks of NC. Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday April 23rd 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden. To send an on-line expression of sympathy, please visit www.stempienfuneralhome.com
