Meriden

Obituary

Ewa Grabarczyk, 62, of Meriden, loving wife and mother, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

Ewa was born in Warsaw, Poland, July 22, 1959, a daughter of the late Jadwiga Falecik and had been a Meriden resident for many years where she raised her family with her husband Greg.  She was a devoted mother to daughter, Paulina and loved speaking with her daily about all things big and small.  They shared the most special bond.

She took pride in tending to her gardens and nurturing the beautiful flowers to blossom.  Her natural caregiving extended to all people and pets too.  She frequently helped neighbors and friends and loved her grand-puppy, Phin.  Ewa often found peace visiting her family in Poland as well as spending time with her family and friends here in Connecticut.  She was hardworking, selfless, kind, generous, and never far from a cup of tea.

Ewa's strong faith made her a familiar face at St. Stanislaus Church in Meriden, where she was not only a devoted parishioner, but also a member of the church choir for many years. She famously contributed hundreds of homemade stuffed cabbages to the annual parish festival each year.

She is survived by her husband Greg, daughter Paulina Sullivan and her husband Brian of Avon; her sister Grażyna Wyrzykowska of Poland, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends whose lives she touched.

Ewa's family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad Street, Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., when the funeral procession will proceed to St. Faustina Parish (St. Stanislaus Church), 82 Akron Street, Meriden, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Memorial donations in memory of Ewa may be sent to Father Nadolny's Good News Fund, 467 Bloomfield Avenue, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
