Emma Rodriguez, 71, of Meriden, the loving wife of Teddy Angel Morales, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at MidState Medical Center.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 7, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Alfredo Rodriguez and Martha Ortiz. Emma had been a resident of Meriden for many years, where she built a life centered on love, family, and faith.

In addition to her beloved husband Teddy, Emma is survived by her four children: Emma Gene Rivera, Juan Rivera, Joe Rivera, and Brenda Morales-Baez and her husband, Michael Baez. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Edlyn Lozada, Glenis Moreno, Destiny Rivera, Devin Rivera, Sabrina Moreno, Isabel Rivera, Mikayla Baez, Joel Rivera, and Mason Baez; and her adored great-grandchildren: Serenity Rodriguez and Layla Deschamps.

She is also survived by her sisters, Martha Ramos, Margarita Rodriguez, Naomi Cosmo, and Carmen Tobin, as well as her brothers, Hector Rodriguez, Mario Rodriguez, and Herman Flores-Ortiz. Emma was predeceased by her sister, Doris Rodriguez, and her brothers, Lucito Rodriguez and Alfredo Rodriguez.

Family and friends are invited to gather in her memory at Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A prayer service celebrating Emma's life will begin at 12 p.m., followed by interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden.
