Elizabeth (Betty) DelFavero, 84 beloved wife of the late Kenneth N. DelFavero died on Thursday October 16, 2014 at MidState Medical Center. Born on September 30, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Cosmo and Adeline (Nadile) Argiro. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Betty attended local schools; she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and an active member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society. Betty was an excellent baker her specialty being cookies especially Italian cookies. She ran her own operation known by her family as ABC (Aunt Betty Cookies). Everyone looked forward to receiving their favorite cookie on their special occasion. Baking was her therapy, the way she relaxed. Betty loved her family dearly. She was a devoted caregiver to all of them. A loving wife, sister and aunt, Betty will be greatly missed. She is survived by two brothers: James Argiro of So. Meriden, John Argiro and his wife Mary Ann of Plantsville; her sister-in-law Zerline Argiro of Meriden; five nieces: Marie Janelle and her husband Robert, Cynthia Van Fleet and her husband Vern, Amy Argiro, Melissa Mirabello, Susan Ciskowski and her husband Bill; three nephews: John Adamski and his wife Pam, Vern Adamski and his wife Jan, Michael Argiro and his wife Louise and many great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Argiro; her sister Rose Adamski and a nephew Robert Balocki.
