Elisabeth Stellato, 69, passed away on Thursday August 16, 2018 at MidState Medical Center after a long illness. She was the loving wife of Frank Stellato, mother of Michele Stellato, the love of her life and beloved daughter of Katharinna Mayer.
Elisabeth was born on August 6, 1949 in Immenhausen, Germany. She came to America in 1964 and attended Meriden High School at night where she studied to become an American Citizen. She always lived life to the fullest. Elisabeth was an excellent cook and known for her delicious lasagna. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Stellato is also survived by two brothers-in-law: Antonio Stellato, Raffaele Stellato; four sisters-in-law: Angelina Stellato, Antonietta S. Dickinson and her husband Nathaniel, Lori Stellato, Lydia Asplund: two special cousins: Antonietta Landino, Lucy Nobitz and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many family members and friends in Germany, Austria, Nigeria, Africa and the USA. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Mayer, her sister Dorothea Dolle and her Uncle Fritz.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday August 22nd at 9:15 a.m. from the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. John Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave., Meriden for a 10:00 a.m. service. Entombment will be Friday in Forest Hill Memorial Mausoleum in Florida. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday evening August 21st from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home.
