Edward J. Zawacki, 91, loving and devoted husband of Patricia (Oleskiewicz) Zawacki, peacefully entered eternal life, Saturday, September 21, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Edward was born in Meriden, January 27, 1933, a son of the late Jerome Zawacki and Agnes Babik and had been a lifelong resident.  He was employed by SNET until his retirement.  Edward was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

A private graveside service with military honors was held at the State Veterans' Cemetery, Middletown, CT.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
