Edward Pietrzyk, 75, of South Meriden, loving husband of Jozefa (Banik) Pietrzyk, peacefully entered into eternal life, Thursday, March 3, 2022.

Edward was born in Szafranow, Poland, January 12, 1947, a son of the late Jozef Pietrzyk and Wladyslawa (Korytko) Pietrzyk and had been a Meriden resident for many years.  Edward was employed as a mechanic and machine operator until his retirement.  He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church in Meriden.

In addition to his wife Jozefa, he is survived by his devoted children Malgorzata Kozlowski and her husband Grzegorz of Southbury, Slawomir Pietrzyk and his wife Katarzyna of Wallingford; his loving grandchildren Izabella Kozlowski, Filip Kozlowski, Christopher Pietrzyk and David Pietrzyk; his sisters Jozefa Wilczak of Southington, Genowefa Bizon of Szafranow, Poland; several nieces; and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister Janina Pokojska of Poland.

Edward's family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Monday, March 7, 2022, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 8, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., when the funeral procession will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church (St. Faustina Parish), where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.  Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden.
