Edward Bochinski - He was luckier than most having two great loves in his life. The first his beloved wife the late Violet Ann (Macri) Bochinski. 11 years later Edward and Cecelia "Ceil" (LaForge) Pisko began a loving relationship that has lasted 25 years until the day of his passing on Wednesday November 16th 2016.
Born on December 19, 1928 in Meriden, Edward was the son of the late Stephen and Stephanie (Lavendowski) Bochinski. After High School he went to trade school and later owned his own painting business until retirement. He proudly served in the United States 101st Airborne Division of the Army where he went to Cooks and Bakers School. That developed into a passion for cooking.
Mr. Bochinski is survived by his daughter Jody D. Murphy of Shelton; and three grandchildren that brought him joy and great pride: Joseph Murphy IV and his partner Angelica Pierce of Waterbury, Lyle Murphy of Southbury, and Benjamin Murphy of Sandy Hook. Also special to him was his honorary granddaughter Casandra Berro; a son-in-law Joseph Murphy III of Sandy Hook; Ceil's sons: Vincent Pisko Jr. of Bristol, Todd Pisko, his wife Diane and their children: Jason and Kailey of Southington, and Keith Pisko of Southington. He leaves behind two sisters: Eleanor Alfieri of Southington, Lorraine Traskos, her husband Stanley (Sonny) of Portland; Nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his sister Francis Bochinski, and brother John Bochinski.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday afternoon November 21st from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. There will be a short service at 6:30pm at Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 450 Broad St. Meriden CT. Tuesday morning November 22nd there will be an additional hour from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. before proceeding to Walnut Grove Cemetery.
