Edith Maria Rosado, 83, of Meriden, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 in her beloved home. She was the loving wife of the late Luis Aponté.

Edith was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, May 25, 1940, a daughter of the late Luis A. Rosado and Maria Soto and had been a Meriden resident for many years. She was a homemaker with many talents. A favorite was crocheting and fishing. Edith loved the presence of her loved ones. She mostly enjoyed raising and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. During these moments Edith would teach her children and grandchildren how to make fishing lines out of soda cans for their fishing adventures.

Edith is survived by her loving children Juan A. Rosado, Luis (Carmen) Rodriguez, Virgen Morales, Maria E. Gonzalez, Gerson Gonzalez, Carmi Gonzalez; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; 1 brother; 2 sisters; and numerous nieces; and nephews.  She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Ada I. Rosado.

Edith's family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Friday, October 27, 2023 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
