Dorothy (Hesse) Booth, 91, of the Village at Kensington Place, Meriden, died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Pomeroy Booth. Born in Meriden, August 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Henry O. Hesse and Nellie (Westfort) Hesse of Meriden. She was a life long resident of Meriden and graduated from Meriden High School, class of 1939. She was a graduate of Larson College in Hamden, Ct., class of 1941. She was employed by the New Departure Company in Meriden until her marriage in 1946. For many years she was an active member of the First Baptist Church and later, the First Congregational Church where she was a deaconess. She leaves a son, Richard H. Booth and daughter-in-law, Barbara A. Booth of Deep River, CT and New York City. The family wishes to thank the Village of Kensington Place for their many years of support and compassion.
