Donna Marie (Traverso) Caro, 80, passed away on Monday November 21, 2022 at the Meriden Center.

Born in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Lodnin) Traverso. At a young age her family relocated to Meriden. Donna attended Meriden High School and was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. She was employed as a CNA for Silver Springs Nursing Home from where she retired. Donna was a devote Catholic. She loved animals especially cats. Donna had a great sense of humor and was known for her quick jokes. Most of all Donna enjoyed spending time with her cherished grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her daughters: Annise Marie Caro and her husband Carmelo Cruz of PA, Dana Caro-Herman and her husband Mark H. Herman of Waterbury; two grandchildren: Christina Marie Caro, Christopher Michael Caro and three great grandchildren: Andy Alexis Vega, Arianna Marie Vega and Avery Marie Valentin. She was predeceased by her daughter Carlisa Anne Caro.

Her family would like to thank Franciscan Home Care, the Franciscan Ever There Care in the Community, their sincerest thanks to The Complete Care Staff at Meriden and especially her hospice nurse, Catherine Gagnon.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, November 26 ^th at 10:30 a.m. from the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home.
