Donna L. Cruess, 62, died Thursday May 3, 2012 at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of Donald E. Cruess, her loving husband of 40 years. Born November 10, 1949 in Wallingford, she was the daughter of Anita (Pere') Komerowski and the late Walter Komerowski. Donna grew up and graduated from local schools in Wallingford. She moved to Meriden after meeting her husband. Donna was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church where she taught CCD for 9 years. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Ewa A. Cieslik since 2001. Donna enjoyed doing arts and crafts and was known for her delicious baking. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed time spent with her family and loved her grandchildren dearly. Besides her husband Don, Donna is survived by her children Brian P. Cruess and his wife Kelly of Hebron, Jacci Pugliese and her husband Jim of Southington; four grandchildren: Sean and Peyton Cruess, Jackson and Madelyn Pugliese; a sister Lisa Albert of Wallingford and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother William Komerowski.
