Dominick Mazza, known to many as "Micky" or "Mick", widower of Jane (Bober), entered into the hands of God peacefully on October 07, 2012 at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown, CT. Micky was born on January 12, 1924 in Brooklyn NY, the son of the late Antonio and Anna Mazza. His family moved to Meriden, CT in the early1940's. Micky served his country honorably in the Army during WWII in the Pacific theater. On September 15, 1951 Mick married the love of his life, Jane (Jeanette Bober). They made their home in Southington. Mick was employed by Oscar Gross Clothing in Meriden for 18 years. He also worked for Connecticut Office Supply in Meriden as a salesman from 1975 until his retirement in 1985. Mick was a Parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church in the Plantsville section of Southington. He also was a member of the Disabled American Veterans,the Meriden Unison Club and the Y's Men. Mick enjoyed traveling with his wife, fishing the Connecticut and Rhode Island coasts, attending concerts and plays and playing golf. He also made the best pizza. Everyone loved Mick's pizza. He brought his own "handmade" pizza to family gatherings, friends and neighbors homes and Mick even shared his famous pizza with the employees where he did his banking. He is survived and missed by his children: Rob Mazza and wife Katie Mazza of Dalton Gardens ID and Michael Mazza of St Paul MN; his grandchildren, Dominic Mazza and Jason Mazza both of MN; his sisters Rose Torelli of Meriden, Ann Giannetti (Joe) of Middletown; two brothers: Joe Mazza (Pat) and Tony Mazza both of Meriden and his sister-in-law Delores Mazza of Meriden CT.
