Dolores T. Nessing, 88, beloved aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 17, 2021 at her home.
Born on July 23, 1932 she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Plata) Nessing. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Dolores attended local schools and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. She was employed as an engraver for the Unimax Company from where she retired. Dolores was a member of the Polish Falcons and the Council of Catholic Women. She was an avid fan of the UCONN Men's and Women's basketball teams and the Boston Red Sox. Dolores enjoyed going out for coffee with her friends. She had unconditional love for her family and cherished spending time with all of them.
Ms. Nessing, also known as Cioci Dodo is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; her best friend Marie Graham and her favorite neighbor Mary Riss. The last surviving child of the Nessing clan, she was predeceased by six brothers: John, Julius, Joseph, Stanley, Casmir and Benjamin Nessing and five sisters: Katherine Zabrowski, Ann Nessing, Rose Nessing Mary Nessing and Jean Lewandowski.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday March 20th at 9:30 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday morning, March 20th from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
