Diane L.
Tall
Jan 11, 1973 — Nov 16, 2025
Meriden
Diane L. Tall, the daughter of her late parents Edward G. Tall and Ann M. Tall, passed on November 16, 2025. She was born in Meriden on January 11, 1973 and attended special education classes throughout her childhood at several Meriden schools: New Horizons, Thomas Hooker, and Orville H. Platt, from which she graduated their Special Education Program in 1994.
Diane was well-known for her kindness, bubbly personality, and her industriousness. She enjoyed many summers at John J. Nerden RTC Camp in Middlefield, CT and had won many medals for swimming in Connecticut Special Olympics. She also learned dance and was in several recitals. As an adult, Diane enjoyed her time living with family and then gained entry into Long Hill Group Home (Middletown) where she had life-long friends and always made new ones. Diane worked part-time at Kuhn Center and was President of her chapter of Mosaic in Connecticut. She had learned a little Polish from her mother and aunt Gertrude Papallo, and was fond of John Paul II, reciting his prayer by heart every day. She also could recite the sign language alphabet, and had learned a few words in sign from classmates who used it. Diane enjoyed life from Starlight Ball events to simply having iced coffee with friends. She was an avid viewer of Cops, Full House, and most of all: WWE Wrestling.
She is survived by her brother Edward Tall of New Jersey, niece Mikaela Tall of New Jersey, and many cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Connecticut Special Olympics
