David L. Vachon, 79, beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on Wednesday January 26, 2022, at MidState Medical Center

Born on January 3, 1943, in Dunkirk, NY, he was the son of the late Edmund and Elizabeth (Breyette) Vachon. David attended local schools in NY. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. David relocated to Connecticut in 1966. He was employed as a jet engine mechanic at Pratt & Whitney from where he retired after 45 years of service. David was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus 4 ^th Degree of Meriden, Council #2. He was a talented musician who played the guitar and clarinet. David enjoyed wood sculpture, drawing and spending time in the outdoors. Most important to David was spending time with his loving family. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughters: Jaqueline Glen and Andrea Cole both of Meriden: seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
