Danny C. Soltesz, 56, of Sarasota, Florida and formerly of Meriden, CT, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 5, 2014 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Born on November 22, 1957 in Meriden, CT, he was the son of Lawrence and the late Bettyanne (Field) Soltesz. He was a 1976 graduate of Mark T. Sheehan High School. He worked for many years as a truck driver and later as a plumber. He enjoyed martial arts, going to the beach and riding motorcycles with his boys. Danny will best be remembered for his kind, gentle heart and his love for the Lord. Danny is survived by his father, Lawrence Soltesz of Cottageville, SC; three sons: Danny C. Soltesz, Jr. and his wife Shawna of Cromwell, Paul D. Soltesz of Dubois, PA and Jacob J. Soltesz of Dubois, PA; two granddaughters, Amaya K. Soltesz and Addison G. Soltesz both of Cromwell; two brothers, Lawrence Soltesz, Jr. of Cottageville, SC, Allan H. Soltesz of Meriden and four sisters: Margo Jacobwitz of Wallingford, Joanne Ross of W. Charleston, SC, Julie Soltesz of Wallingford and Penny Martorelli of Cottageville, SC and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
