Daniel L. Isyk, 92, beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Gibbons) Isyk died Wednesday February 26, 2014 at Westfield Care & Rehabilitation. Born on December 20, 1921 he was the son of the late Izydor and Antoinette (Yaras) Izyk. Daniel was a lifelong resident of Meriden. He attended local schools and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. Daniel proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was employed as a supervisor for the Meriden Board of Education from where he retired. Daniel also worked for many years at the Mason Auction Gallery. He is survived by his son Timothy Isyk and his wife Diane of Meriden; his cherished granddaughter Vanessa Isyk of Meriden; step grandson Evan J. Golebiewski; his sister-in-law Carolin Fontaine and her husband William of Meriden; a brother-in-law James Gibbons and his wife Beverly of FL and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.
