Daniel J. Geary, 87, of Killingworth, formerly of Meriden and Martha's Vineyard, loving husband of Versie (Langley) Geary, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Middlesex Hospital.

Daniel was born in Meriden, February 17, 1936, a son of the late Arthur R. Geary Sr. and Mary (Wrona) Geary and was a graduate of Meriden High School, class of 1956. Daniel served in the U.S. Army from 1959 until 1965. He had been employed by Guida's Dairy for many years until his retirement in 1990 and moved to Martha's Vineyard in 1991.  While living on Martha's Vineyard, he was employed during the summers for Trustees of Reservation, and provided property care on Chappaquiddick.  Daniel loved fishing, hunting, clamming and scalloping.

In addition to his wife Versie, he is survived by his daughter Donna Cotter and her husband Patrick of Killingworth; his son Daniel S. Geary and his companion Tammy Schuler of Durham; his grandchildren Daniel S. Geary Jr. and his wife Gina of Higganum, Michelle Choleva and her husband Gabe of Hebron, Brooke Cotter of Killingworth, Leanna Cotter and fiancé Jake Brown of Colchester; his sister-in-law Shanda Geary of Meriden; many nieces; and nephews including Diane Sayers and husband Steve of Middlefield; and Jeffrey Geary and wife Susan of East Hampton; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Arthur R. Geary Jr.
