Chesterine L. Maliszewski, 96, died on Thursday November 6, 2015 at Miller Memorial. She was the wife of the late Theodore V. Maliszewski, Sr. her loving husband for over 70 years. Born on August 28, 1919 in Claremont, NH, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Salome (Grela) Lipka. A longtime resident of Meriden, Chesterine was employed as an assembler at the Revere Company from where she retired. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church and a charter member of its Ladies Guild. Chesterine was a master knitter, she enjoyed baking and cooking especially Polish foods. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Chesterine will be greatly missed. Mrs. Maliszewski is survived by her son Theodore V. Maliszewski, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of NC; her daughter Sally Dutra of Meriden; a brother Sigmond Lipka and his wife Ruth of Wallingford; her sister Alice Hepp of Meriden; six grandchildren: Arthur and his wife Joy, James and John Dutra, Vincent and Ryan Maliszewski, Amy Boris; nine great grandchildren: Kayleigh and Nick Dutra, Arthur Dutra IV, Bob and Tina Dutra, Cody and Kate Maliszewski, Neil and Alaina Maliszewski and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Arthur Dutra, Jr. The family would like to thank the staff at the Miller Memorial Community for the excellent care given to Chesterine. Her funeral will be held on Thursday November 12th at 9:15 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
