Carroll B. Rainey, 53, of Meriden, loving husband of Tracey (Preston) Rainey, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.

Carroll was born in Meriden, November 20, 1968, a son of the late Carol Rainey and Barbara (Hooks)Rainey and had been a lifelong Meriden resident.  He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran and had been employed as a mechanic.  He was a member of the Apostolic Community Church in Meriden.

In addition to his wife Tracey, he is survived by his loving daughters Ashley Thompson and Vanessa Rainey; his stepdaughter Latoya Steward; his granddaughters Kaimani Echevarria, Madisyn Brown Janiya Savage, Morgan Brown; his sisters Laura Camper and Brigitta Rainey; his brother Calep Rainey and his wife Shedecka; his nieces Janae, Miranda, Renizsha; his nephews Tyrone, Nazir, Jamel, Jaiquan, Malcolm, Delijah; his great nephew Chase.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation, Monday, November 29, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Apostolic Community Church, 146 Center St., Meriden.  A funeral service celebrating Carroll's life will begin at 11 a.m.  Interment with military honors will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, CT. 06450.  www.meridenmemorialfh.com
