Carol J. Jenkins, 76, passed away on Wednesday September 5, 2012 at Middlesex Hospital. She was the wife of Robert L. Jenkins Sr., her loving husband of 57 years. Carol was born on August 9, 1936 in Fairmont, WV. She was a long-time resident of Meriden and a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. Carol was employed by the MidState Medical Center from where she retired. She enjoyed walking, gardening and was an avid fan of the UCONN Women's Basketball Team. Carol loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, they meant everything to her. Besides her beloved husband Robert, Carol is survived by her son Robert L. Jenkins, Jr. and his wife Bernadette of Meriden and her daughter Cheryl Reilly and her husband Gary of Durham and her grandchildren whom she cherished: Robert L. Jenkins III of Meriden, Devon Reilly and Eric Reilly both of Durham.
