Carmella M. Commesso Ranno, 88, beloved wife of the late Michael S. Ranno died on Tuesday March 19, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on December 23, 1924 in Southington she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Felica (Parillo) Commesso. Carmella was a longtime resident of Meriden and parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, crocheting and taking trips to the casinos. Carmella loved baking, especially for her family. The most important part of her life was spending time with her family whom she cherished dearly. She is survived by her sons: Michael Ranno, Richard Ranno and his wife Pamela, Laurence Ranno and her 5th son James Patrick Killeen all of Meriden; her daughter Patricia Ranno Blouin of Meriden; a daughter-in-law Cherie Ranno of Woodbridge; two sisters-in-law Concetta Commesso of FL, Josephine Moore of So. Meriden; her brother-in-law William Ranno and his wife Janet of Middletown; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert Ranno; three brothers: Vincent, Salvatore and Joseph Commesso and a sister Mary T. Vecchitto.
