Carlo Crasso, 92, of Meriden, beloved father, Nonno and Zio, died peacefully on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the Bradley Home, with his granddaughter by his side.

Carlo was born in Trieste, Italy, on September 27, 1933, the son of the late Amelia Crasso, and had been a Meriden resident for many years. He was employed as a machinist for Fafnir Bearing until his retirement.

Carlo liked to show his love with his spontaneous acts of gardening, sharing his love of flowers with those who meant the most to him. He enjoyed (his own) cooking and sharing that with family, being outdoors, and cherished his summers spent with family “down Branford.” What brought him the greatest joy was being a Nonno and seeing his family together.

He was deeply grateful for the extraordinary care his son and granddaughter provided during his final days. The compassion, patience, and dedication shown to him were a source of immense pride and comfort.

Carlo leaves to cherish his memory his sons, William (Deborah) Crasso and Carl Crasso Jr.; his grandchildren, Yvonne and her son Dominic Carlo, Rebekah, Anthony and his son Niko, Gina and her daughter Sierra, Stephani, Kaili, C.J., and Darien; his great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephew.  He was predeceased by his sister, Lucia, and his brother, Christopher.

Family will receive relatives and friends at Meriden Memorial (Smith-Ruzzo) Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A prayer service will be held in the chapel of the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden
