Caridad
Zarabozo
Mar 26, 1934 — Sep 6, 2023
Meriden
Caridad Zarabozo of Meriden, loving wife, mother and grandmother peacefully entered eternal life on Wednesday September 6, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.
Caridad was born March 26, 1934 in Cuba to Blas Ordonez and Indulpha Ordonez-Rey. She was one of twelve children, eleven preceded her in death. Married to Noberto Zarabozo in 1956, she left Cuba in 1962 to build a life for her family. Raising four children and working as a seamstress, Caridad left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her unconditional love that she provided to all family and friends is a beautiful example to live by. She was authentic, selfless, devoted and kind. She was the definition of love and always had a smile, a pot of coffee and a hot meal ready.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Noberto Zarzbozo (Rose) of Meriden, Humberto Zarabozo (Alicia) of Meriden, Eugenia Wrathall (Tiger) of Wallingford and Linda Poole (James) of Vermont. She was Aya to her nine grandchildren: Elizabeth and Victoria Wrathall, Amanda Leiss, Peter Zarzbozo, Jessica and Joshua Zarabozo, Lucy, Oliver and Conrad Poole and her five great grandchildren: Jasmina, Jennabel, Julian and Joshua and Roman. Her brother, Jose (Chuchu) Ordonez. And her devoted nieces and nephews: Olga Brandl, Israel Ordonez, Alina Ordonez and Rita Sola, as well as her beloved down in Miami, that she loved as her own.
Caridad was predeceased by two children: Rosario Caridad Zarabozo and Antonio Zarabozo, brothers and sisters Eugenia Caridad Ordonez, Wilredo Ordonez, Bertha Sola, Catalino Ordonez, Raul Ordonez, Rafaela Calas, Aida Lebron, Orestes Ordonez, Israel Ordonez, Clara Arango, son in law William Wrathall, and grandchildren James and Charles Wrathall.
Everyone who had the privilege of knowing Aya lost a little piece of their heart, but gained an angel. We will keep her love and memoires in our hearts forever. We will miss her cafe con leche, and Cuban cooking.
