Brigida (Charneco) Torres, 84, loving wife of the late Felix Torres, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the Hospital of Central CT. at New Britain General.

Brigida was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico, July 8, 1937, a daughter of the late Zoilo Charneco and Georgina Rosa and had been a Meriden resident for many years.  She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church in Meriden.

She is survived by her devoted sons, Armando Torres, Alberto Torres, Jorge Torres and his wife Luz, Julio Torres and his wife Iris; her loving grandchildren, Jashlyn Medina, Jeshuah Medina, Thalia Torres, Debbie Torres, Leyla Torres, Alberto Torres, Joel Torres, Dylan Torres, Giomar Torres, Sahily Torres, Gabriel Torres, Waldemar Torres; many nieces; and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Evelyn Torres; and her grandson Julian A. Torres.

Brigida's family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Friday, March 11, 2022, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when the funeral procession will proceed to St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St., Meriden,  where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.  Final resting place will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden.
