Blanca E. Rivera Murillo, 84, of Meriden, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, February 28, 2022.

Blanca was born in Manta, Ecuador, October 23, 1937.  She arrived in the United States in 1969 and settled in Meriden, with her family.  She was a seamstress by profession.  She enjoyed reading the Bible, sewing, knitting and crocheting along with her special friends and vacationing with her children.  Blanca was an active parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church in Meriden, where she was a cursillista, and belonged to the Legion de Maria.

She is survived by her children: Edith Murillo, Jose (Dawn) Murillo, Sofia (Noel) Gonzalez, Luis (Holly) Murillo all of Meriden; her grandchildren Julio C. (Annette) Bonilla, Jacob Bonilla, and Emily Hanlon; Christina (Khalil) Murillo-Walker, Jose (Amanda) Murillo Jr., Nicholas (Luz) Murillo, and Rebecca Murillo; Jessica Gonzalez, Fabian (Samantha) Gonzalez, Marissa Gonzalez, Luis (Elizabeth) Murillo Jr., Zachary Murillo and Madison Murillo; her great grandchildren Julio E., Desire, Genesis, Leilani, Caiden, Jaelene, Jaslene, Johanna, Eva, Amiyah, Leo, and Emerson.  Predeceased by great grandchild, Ariana.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St., Meriden.  There will be no public calling hours.  Final resting place will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden.  Memorial donations in memory of Blanca may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter, 200 Executive Blvd S #4b, Southington, CT 06489.    Arrangements are under the direction of The Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden
