Barbara A. (Gniewek) Putnam, 90, of Southington, loving wife of the late Edward N. Putnam, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones.

Barbara was born in Meriden, September 12, 1933, a daughter of the late Stanley and Sophie (Brys) Gniewek.  She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Meriden, loved animals and a nice garden.  She is survived by her three children, David (Maria) Putnam, Daniel (Denise) Putnam and Janice (Michael) D'Aloisio.  She was predeceased by sisters Joan Gonzalez, Jean Putnam, Evelyn Cooper; and brother Stanley Gniewek.

Barbara's family would like to thank her caregivers for the loving and compassionate care they provided for her.

Funeral services are private.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St.
