Barbara "Didi" L. Nowacki, 82, of Naugatuck, beloved companion of Henry Kielb, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at MidState Medical Center.
Born on May 23, 1939, she was the middle daughter of the late John and Victoria (Yedziniak) Kopala. Barbara was a graduate of Meriden High School. She worked as a property inspector for the US government in the Census Bureau from where she retired. In 1980 Barbara began her relationship with Henry. He and his daughter, Jackie were a welcome addition to the family. Henry was like a stepfather to Barbara's children and she a stepmother to Jackie. At this time in her life Barbara was in a serious five car crash. She broke her hip and had problems with her hip and legs for the rest of her life.
Barbara was a staunch republican and supporter of President Donald Trump. She wrote articles on various golf and baseball events for different venues. Barbara enjoying driving all over Connecticut, always taking the scenic routes to learn the back roads of the state. She was an avid football fan and enjoyed placing a wager or two on several games. Barbara loved spending time with Henry going golfing, working on puzzle books, playing games, attending Polka Dances, eating out and taking trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun where she loved to play the slot machines. Most important to Barbara was spending time with her family and friends. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and companion, Barbara will be greatly missed.
In addition to her boyfriend Henry, Barbara is survived by her children daughter, Ramona Lytle of Manchester; two sons: Jordan Nowacki of Wallingford, Kevin Nowacki and his wife Rosalba of CA; her step-daughter, Jackie Chute; a sister, Florence "Teeni" Fair; six grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Jason M. Nowacki and her first husband, Ted Nowacki.
